Mt. Calvary Christian School
Our mission
To walk with families preparing children for their future education, and helping them discover who they are as unique children of God.
We recently polled our parents and asked what they liked most about Mt. Calvary Christian School.
And they responded…
- The high caliber of Christian teachers who strive to help each child grow as a whole person - focusing on their intellectual, physical, social, emotional and spiritual development.
- The Christian sense of community. We are a community of caring families who get to know each other at drop-off & pick-up as well as at the family events we sponsor like the Christmas Service or Spaghetti Dinner. We are Christian – the children go to a wonderful Chapel service every other week. Prayer is gently incorporated in the school day.
- The great teacher/child ratio of 1:6. In fact, our 3 & 4 year old programs have 12 children or less with two teachers.
Programs Offered
We offer three different programs for children, depending on their ages.
All of our classes meet from 9:00 – 11:45 AM.
- 3 year old program meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays
- 4 year old program meets on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays
- Transitional Kindergarten is for children who turn 5 by January 30th and it meets Monday though Thursday
-
Stay & Play Extended Day
We do offer a Stay & Play program where children can stay and participate in activities after the regular school day. This is available by sign-up until 3 PM. It is great for working moms, times you have appointments or moms who need some time to themselves.
Curriculum
In cooperation with the home, we aim to nurture God-given children in their life and education through the use of a developmentally appropriate curriculum of play, hands-on creative experiences and thematic units.
